Helena Wagenaar: Helena Wagenaar grew up on a farm in Agter Paarl. Took art as a subject at school under tuition of the late Dawid Botha. Persuid a career in Intensive Care Nursing until meeting her Eastern Cape cattle farmer, where she has settled down. Started painting again. Her theme mostly women, stirring up old memories, stories, relationships and every day scenes. She loves oil, colour and simplicity, also one flow of line.
